      Applied to enlist with RNZAF 27 January 1941; transferred to the RNZN

      Posted to HMS Philomel then posted to HMS St Vincent 3 April 1941

      Embarked for Wales with the 9th Draft, Scheme E, from Wellington

      He was killed whilst under training, in a Sea Hurricane IB R4214, which crashed at Milton near Gillingham, Dorset at 1520 hours. AWMM
