  • I am Joseph's grand-daughter. Was in Belgium in 2013 and toured the area where the Battle of Messines took place. Saw the area where Joe fought and fell. Visited Messines Ridge (NZ) Memorial to the missing where Joe's name is recorded. Went to the Field of Remembrance at Auckland Domain in October 2018 and left poppy at Joe's cross. Returned on November 15th to uplift the cross.
