  • I am Stanley's great neice. Stanley was my grand mother Ethel Regina Hervey nee Choates brother and his next of kin. I am speaking at an ANZAC service at Christ Church in Russell where I am a Sacramental Minister on the 24April and will tell Stanley's story. I was quite shocked to find in my research that he was killed on board the SSPakeha on his way home. I have a copy of a beautuful letter from him written on the day before Germany surrendered. Is there any way to find out what 'accidental death' meant. Thank you Paula
