    • Edwin Christensen was the son of Lauritz Christian and Nielsine Christensen, of Putara, Eketahuna, Wellington, New Zealand. Formerly of Denmark. AWMM
    • Edwin was the youngest of 11 children born to Lauritz and Nielsine Christensen, but the only one born in Bunnythorpe. The rest were born in Le Bons Bay, Banks Peninsula, where the family first settled after arriving in New Zealand in 1873 on board the Punjaub.
