  • Frederick Hilton was the son of James Hilton & Frances Elsie Hilton (nee Verney) of Coventry, England.

    Took off at 2321 hours from Oakington a Lancaster III as a part of Operation Wuppertal. Shot down by a night fighter (OBLT Raht, II/NJG3) and crashed at 0025 hours, some 4km east of Rillend in Zeeland, Holland.
