  • William Tuck was the only child of William Robert Tuck and of Ruth Tuck (nee Burton) of Auckland City, New Zealand; husband of Elizabeth Tuck, of Whangaparaoa, Auckland, New Zealand.

    Tuck had only recently married at the time and his wife, who was a WAAF, was on duty as a radio controller in the control tower at Langham at the time her husband failed to return.
