  • William Holland was the son of Edward James Holland and Caroline Holland, Bethnal Green, London.

    William Holland was aboard the MV Hauraki on 12 July 1942 when she was ambushed by the armed merchant cruisers Hokoku Maru and Aikpku Maru and captured. She was taken to Singapore and the crew sent to Ofuna Camp and through other camps to the Mitsubishi Shipyard in Japan. AWMM
