  • Remembering you Uncle Vernon this ANZAC Day. We are so proud of your service yet full of sadness that you died just short of your 21st birthday and that we never had a chance to know you and you never had the chance to live the life you deserved. We are forever grateful that you gave your life for our freedom. Our children and grandchildren have loved reading the letters you sent to my Dad while he was a prisoner of war in Italy and Germany. They were especially amused by your signing off of your letters 'In the pink Vernon'. In our memories forever. Greg and Jean and family
