      Attended Christchurch West High School (Source: RNZAF Biographies (R17845611)) AWMM
    • He was killed in the downing of Short Stirling EH892 HA-U, 218 Sqn during a raid against Wuppertal.
      There are two versions of the loss:
      1. Shot down by a Bf.110G-4 C9+FN flown by Fw Herbert Hubatsch, of night-fighter unit 5./NJG 5 (detached to 6./NJG 1), (Bonn-Hangelar airfield).
