  • My mother was a friend of Geoff Sowerby's when he was in Toronto training in 1941. His birth date is February 7, 1921.
    My mom wrote to his mom for many years after his death. In fact, my sister and I referred to her as Grandma Sowerby. She would send us books and Maori dolls at Christmas.
    I showed mom his photo and she was quite surprised to see him again.
