    Embarked Egypt for Gallipoli, 20 May 1915.
    Appointed Acting Sergeant, Mudros, 21 August 1915.
    Disembarked Alexandria, 26 December 1915 (general Gallipoli evacuation).
    Departed for Canal Zone, 23 January 1916.
    Promoted Sergeant, 4 March 1916.
    Transferred to No 2 Machine Gun Company, 13 March 1916.
    Embarked for France, 6 April 1916.
    Wounded in action, 16 September 1916; admitted to XV Corps Drg Station, 17 September 1916; transferred same day to 1/1 South Midland Division Casualty Clearing Station; transferred to No 1 Canadian General Hospital, Etaples, 19 September 1916; to England, 21 November 1916, and admitted to 2nd London General Hospital, Chelsea; died of wounds, 5 January 1917.
