    Six sons, brothers served with the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force during World War 2 : Aubrey Douglas (Ben) (6421); Colin Raymond Standen (32583), George Duncan Standen (60071) Hector Standen (35860), Ivan Walter Standen (6433) and Edward Allen Standen (5584). Colin and Ivan died of wounds during the defence of Crete. AWMM
