Cedric Howell was my father's cousin. I remember his mother Dulcie very vividly and affectionately when I was a child. We visited her often, and remember the photo of handsome Cedric on the bookshelf. Her grief for her beloved son was with her till the day she died. What a huge sacrifice it was for her, and Cedric's wife and sons.
