  • I have with me Leslie's bible that he carried into Battle with him. In it are some photos - some of the people have been identified, some are unknown. The bible has a bullet hole through it and was returned to his mother Maria Clark of Karaka after he was killed at Gallipoli. On the 8th of May 2015, 100 years to the day since his death, we will be visiting his memorial site at Twelve Tree Copse on the Gallipoli Peninsula near the village of Krithia. He has no known grave. We will have the bible with us. The where abouts of his medals which were also received by his mother are unknown.
