  • Charles Sidford was the son of Charles George and Letitia Sidford, of Auckland, New Zealand; husband of Marguerite Olwyn Sidford, of Milford, Auckland.

    He was an athlete, excelling at many sports and a Ponsonby, Garrison and Auckland representative rugby player. A motion of sympathy was passed at the management committee meeting of the Auckland Rugby Union. AWMM
