    • Son of Richard Arnold Singer, and of Dorothy Singer, (nee Nicol), of Auckland, New Zealand. AWMM
    • Reason for aircraft/crew loss

      9-10 November 1944 - Mosquito ER363 of 605 Squadron RAF - took off from RAF Base Manston, Kent, England - as part of 'Operation Intruder' - to Marx and Ardorf in Germany. The Mosquito was shot down by German fire and crashed in a pine forest at Schaarsbergen, Netherlands. Both men were killed - and were buried near the crash site. They were re-interred after the war at Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Gelderland, Netherlands.
