  • Mr Boles embarked twice, the first time he had the rank of Corporal and the second as Second Lieutenant. He was awarded the DCM for gallantry when a Sergeant Major. He was promoted to First Lieutenant and then to Captain, and was decorated by King George V.

    He had two children, Ngaire and Maureen. AWMM
