  • We never met you but we know that you were the dearest brother to Margaret and Moira and Ray and Jo. My mum talked about you often and we still do now. We see your messages in books you gave them as gifts. We know the heartbreak for Uncle Ray having to bury his brother so far from home and then come home without you. You were deeply missed then and the space that you left is there for us all now. We honour you every ANZAC day and often in the days between. I have my mothers memorial locket with your photo still in it. With love from your niece.
