    On his return from war, he worked as Stationmaster at Opua, Hikurangi and Huntly.

    Eventually he moved to Taihape as a railways Goods shed agent where he remined for 58 years. He retired in the 1950's.

    In WWII, he served in the Home Guard. AWMM
