    Did not see any action, as war ended before training completed.

    Married Asta Grace Bratlie in Pukekohe on 15 June 1927. There were no children.

    Freemasonry was his great passion and he is thought to have founded 2 lodges at least, Ngatea and Goldfields. He had connections with the Loyal Jubilee Lodge and Ohinemuri Lodge. AWMM
