  • Son of Jack Murray

    Although brought up in the King Country, he was well-known in the Whangarei District, as he has taken up farming in the Puwera District in 1931. He was partricularly well- known among cricketers and hockey players, having taken part in both sports during his residence there.

    Received his injuries when the 24 Infantry Battalion was heading towards Florence and was ordered to secure Mt Camurcina en route and bitter fighting ensued. AWMM
