  • Gordon's father died in 1935. Which left Gordon as the only male in his family, He had six sisters none of whom had married when he went off to war. He was killed on the last Christmas Eve of WWII.

    Killed by shell exploding near the trench that he was digging WW2


    There is a lovely write up in a book of ex pupils of New Plymouth Boys High School who died overseas in WW2,
