    GISBORNE FLIER MISSING
Advice has been received by Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Krebs that their son, Flight-Sergeant Max Krebs, has been reported missing after flying operations. Flight-Sergeant Krebs was in a fighter squadron in England, where he had been for the past 13 months. He was, in hospital for a short time, following an accident while flying, but he had been flying again for the past few months. Before leaving Gisborne Flight-Sergeant Krebs was prominent in hockey circles, and was secretary of the Poverty Bay Hockey Association.
