  • Allan Cooper was the son of William George and Florence Ethel Cooper, of Otahuhu, Auckland, New Zealand.

    Attended Otahuhu Convent and Otahuhu Technical High School. Was interested in football and athletics.

    He won the Auckland Championship 220 and gained second place in the 440 yard hurdles. He was a member of the Otahuhu Rugby team.

    Died as a result of a motor accident while a serving soldier at Taupo fire fighting.

  • Was going through some old photos of my Dad's, Jack Stanaway (Kumara) and found Allan's obituary. I will try to match the photo given here of Allan to some of Dads photos. Sadly most of the photos I have have no names attached. I just know he was one of the Waiheke Boys.
