  • Morgan was the brother of Tahi Waa and Royal Waa. Their father was Te Manu Waa and their mother was Tirita. They belong to the Te Orewai hapu of Ngati Hine. I knew Tahi Waa and Roe Waa well but not their brother nor their parents. They were from another generation to me. We all descend from Hemi Waa Paora who married his first cousin Ruruhira. The parents of Hemi Waa were Paora and Ripekatitiparu. Ripekatitiparu was taken from Te Totara pa at Hauraki by Ngapuhi in 1822.
