  • My uncle Ron Dale witnessed the incident and pulled one person to safety.Sadly the R McCarthy perished along with 4 or 5 others .My uncle is due to celebrate his 90th birthday on March 8 2016 and he talks often about this horrible event.I do go to Rissington and visit their graves regularly. The person who my uncle pulled to safety was a gentleman by the name of Lyons from the Canadian Air Force.
