    GISBORNE PILOT Advice that their elder son, Sergt. Pilot Jack .McConnell, is missing on Air operations has been received by Mr. and Mrs. T. McConnell, Temple street, Gisborne. Sergt. Pilot McConnell commenced his training in New Zealand and then proceeded to Canada, where he secured his wings. He was then stationed in Great Britain for some time and a few months ago was posted to Malta. Before joining the air force, Sergt.
