Mr. and Mrs. Cogar, of Gisborne, were advised last evening that their younger son, Charlie, is reported killed in action. It will be remembered that the elder son, Richard, was reported missing after the initial landing. The greatest sympathy will be extended to the parents and sister of the boys in their sad bereavement. • I have photos andpostcards of my great uncles RIchard and Charles Cogar who were both killed. Have also some postcards and photossent by then tomy grandmother from Gallipoli. Decided to find where their graves are. My grandmother often talked of her two brothers and the effect their deaths had on her and her parents. They both enrolled early to fight for New Zealand although they were born in London.
