    • Son of John and Mary McEntyre of Arrowtown. AWMM
    • Thomas McEntyre was born on the 20 January 1919, Arrowtown, NZ to parents John Thomas and Mary Jane McEntyre nee Delargey. He was number five in a family of 11 children. He was raised on the family farm, Pleasant View, opposite Lake Hayes, 2 kms out of Arrowtown township. He joined the army in 1940 with his brother, Archibald Thomas McEntyre, and fought overseas in WW2. Thomas was killed in action in Tunisia on 28 March 1943, 24 years of age.
