  • Grenville McFarland was the son of James Andrew McFarland, and of Clarice Karina McFarland, of Stoke, Nelson, New Zealand.

    Educated at Nelson College where he was Head Prefect in 1938.

    He left NZ 6 May 1939 to join RAF. AWMM
