  • Private Murray spent most of his life in the King Country, but took up farming in the Whangarei District at Puwera in 1931.

    He was particularly well- known among cricketers and hockey pkayers, having taken part in both sports.

    He had a brother who was a POW.

    His parents lived in Hamilton. AWMM
