  • Hector Porter was the son of Harold and Alma Porter, of Auckland, New Zealand. Hector was married but legally separated from Rebecca Margaret Gibson and they had a son Bruce Charles Porter who was adopted by Rebecca's mother (Bruce's grandmother) Margaret Gibson.

    Bruce Charles Gibson (formerly Porter) was Hector's official nex of kin and was recipient of Hector's war medals and NZ Memorial Cross. AWMM
