    • Cedric Priest was the son of David Owen and Doris Emily Priest, of Pokeno, Auckland, New Zealand. AWMM
    • Cedric was born on the 14 Dec 1913 the second of 13 children.
      He enlisted in Dec 1940 & passed out of ground training school with honours, gaining 797 out of a possible 800 marks.
      He embarked for Canada in January 1941, to attend the Empire Air Training Scheme.
      He was the first air-gunner to be commissioned in Canada.
      Upon completion of his training news reached him that three brothers that had been reported missing, possibly captured after the campaign in Crete. Public - Mark - Other relative - 14 April 2017 - Military Personnel File
