Notification of the death from wounds of Major A. T. Rawle, of Auckland, has been received by his wife. Born in 1909 and educated at the Mount Albert Grammar School and the Gisborne High School, Major Rawle left New Zealand with the Third Echelon, after having commanded the 18th Anti-Aircraft Battery. He was formerly on the staff of the Victoria Insurance Company, and was commissioned in a Territorial regiment long before the outbreak of the war. Major Rawle was the youngest son of Mrs. M. Rawle and the late Mr. Frank Rawle, formerly of the Arcadia, Gisborne, and brother of Major F. C. Rawle, who is serving with the forces overseas.
