  • I have his personal letters to my Mother Sarah Pailthorpe his Aunt and Next of Kin where Harry resided before departing for overseas.
At the time of his death he had already forward funds / through the
N.Z. Reserve Bank N.Z. Pounds for an engagement Ring for his intended. It was ultimately used with her agreement to be used for a Memorial headstone at Karori Cemetery also a Pearl ring as an everlasting memory for her of their friendship.
Also amongst the letters, are letters from the Minister who conducted
    their funerals at sea.

  • Hi, I'm the niece of Brian Wallis Polson, who was the pilot of the ww2 bomber which crashed near Gibraltar, on which Henry was the wireless air gunner. I've been researching into Brian's war service and have been trying to find out the names of the crew who were on the bomber when it crashed. I've now found out that there was a crew of four, Brian and Ronald Charles Rickett were Australian, Henry and Harold James Crowe who was a Canadian. I'll be thinking of them all on the 25th April which is our ANZAC Day. Regards Lindi Kingdom
