      Robert Cosgrove was hospitalised at St Georges Hospital, Malta and convalesced at Monte Video Camp, Weymouth AWMM
    • Private R S COSGROVE killed in action was one of the four brothers, sons of Mr and Mrs T Cosgrove, of Orepuki, Southland, two of Southland's. oldest Settlers. He left New Zealand with the Main Body, was wounded in the neck at the Dardanelles, sent to England, returned to duty, and, killed in France. F. A- Cosgrove, reported missing, was .with the Veterinary Service Cprps. He was in Egypt for nearly. two years, and then transferred to the Otago Infantry Battalion.
      R. H. Cosgrove serving with the Australians, was wounded twice at the Dardanelles, sent to England with diphtheria, returned to duty, and was wounded for the third time. Another brother T. E. Cosgrove, is serving with the Imperial Camel Corps, Egypt.
