Colin McDonald was the son of Donald and Mary McDonald (nee Reid), of Mona Cottage, Weraroa Rd., Waverley. Born at Whenuakura, Taranaki. Served at Gallipoli.
According to Stowers [p 143], McDonald lost an arm at Gallipoli.
Colin McDonald died after discharge from the NZEF from wounds inflicted while on active service. AWMM
