The sad advice has been received that Private Clifford Cox was killed in action on March 26. He is the fourth son of Mr. B. W. Cox, of Kaiti, and left Gisborne with the 26th Reinforcements. A report had been previously received that he had been wounded; but no further information was obtainable until the message came to say that he had been killed in action. Before enlisting, Pte C Cox had been actively connected with. the business of W. J. Cox and Co. 'He was of a most obliging disposition, and was very popular among a wide circle of friends. Public - Lorraine Mona - Researcher - 12 May 2023 - ROLL OF HONOR.
