  • Mervyn Ericksen was the son of William Sylvanus Ericksen and Ethel Mary Ericksen, of Dannevirke, New Zealand, husband of Helen Ericksen (nee May, later Plumtree).

    He was the navigator in a Stirling bomber which crashed near Berlin while on a raid on Berlin, killing all on board except the mid-upper gunner who was taken prisoner. He was originally buried in the Municipal Cemetery at Biesenthal on 27 August, later reinterred in Berlin. AWMM
