    Served in the Army (C.M.D) from 15 November 1940 to 30 January 1941.

    Served in the Army (2nd NZEF) from 30 April 1941 to 17 August 1944 .On the 27th December 1942 , the Fourth Section of Kiwi Force embarks in Auckland for New Caledonia arriving in Noumea on the 31st December 1942.

    From the 8-15 June 134 officers and 5113 other ranks of 2NZEF, returned from the Pacific for absorption in essential industry or for other reasons. They disembark at Auckland. The Tryon arrives in Auckland on the 9 June 1944. AWMM
