    Brothers Richard John (2358 4697 13/652) and Wolfran (58/1021) Cottingham died in WW1

    Transferred from the 5th Contingent to the 7th Contingent New Zealand Mounted Rifles serving 2 years 221 days. Discharged in South Africa

    Attested in Suva, Fij and again at Auckland for WW1. Occupation on attestation in Suva described as clerk, and his employer F.E. Rishmenschneider

    Auckland Museum Boer War "NZMR- Uniform" display. Display item is a photograph of a section of the Fifth Contingent.

    Died of wounds received in action, 2 July 1915.
