    Admitted to No 1 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 3 November 1916 (bronchitis); transferred to No 8 Stationary Hospital, Wimereux, 8 November 1916; to No 1 Convalescent Depot, Boulogne, 8 November 1916; to NZ Base Depot, Etaples, 13 November 1916; rejoined unit, in the field, 16 January 1917.
    Appointed Lance Corporal, 28 March 1916.
    Admitted to No 3 NZ Field Ambulance, 23 March 1917; transferred to No 7 General Hospital, St Omer, 23 March 1917 (mumps); discharged to duty, 10 April 1917; rejoined unit, in the field, 13 May 1917.
