Forever in our hearts. Every ANZAC we remember the sacrifices you made for us all. You and your brothers left Niue to face the unknown. 4 brothers from Niue - Tipae - my great grandfather, great uncles Peni, Pulu & Hemu.

To our dearest Great Grandfather Tipae Hipa, Great Grand uncles Hemu, Pulu & Peni, we thank you for the sacrifice you gave for our tiny nation - Niue. Our great grandfather we are bless to live in the village that you called home - Hikutavake. We will never forget you and your brothers. Tomorrow we will meet in Alofi to pay respect to you all and your colleagues that left to fight another countries war. It is our duty as your direct descendants to continue the legacy that you all left behind for us and our future generation. We can only imagine the trauma that you all suffered. We hope and pray that we will never have to face another war. Forever in our hearts Great Grandpa Hipa, Great Grand Uncles Hemu, Pulu, Peni. Each ANZAC celebration a small price to pay getting up at dawn and pay tribute knowing that you our great grand uncles played a big part in the world war effort. I will always remember, we will remember and thank you from the very bottom of our hearts.

We the direct descendants of Hipa and the three brothers Pulu, Peni and Hemu who went to WW1 and the other 146 young men from Niue, will always hold you close to heart. Your sacrifice in a war that our small island country had no cause, was a response to the call of England. You suffered diseases, the extreme cold and hot weathers, foreign hostile environments, and lost two brothers Peni and Pulu, who buried at sea, in the waters of Qatar, thousands of miles from Niue. On every ANZAC Day we not only lay a wreath in remembrance of you and your brothers, but our children, and their children will keep this day very special. On this ANZAC day Monday 25th April, here in the Auckland Museum, we are walking through the WW1 Exhibition, trying to walk in your footsteps, but not the same. With the greatest of respect, honor and humility, we carry your names, and your sacrifices will live on in

Our brave Great Great Grandfather, it is indeed beyond a great honor that I call myself your Great Great Grandchild. Today, thousands if not millions of people all around the World remember you and all your comrades, that fought in the First World War, 100 years and for what? OUR FREEDOM! It is an honor to have your blood running through my veins, as not many can say this, I say with utmost pride! Every year we bow our heads and celebrate ANZAC Day, to remember the efforts of you, your three brothers Peni, Pulu & Hemu and the other strong men of Niue, your strong hearts,will & love for your country are the reason we stand tall today, as FREE PEOPLE! I take off my hat to you and all the brave soldiers for the lives we live today. Oue tulou Matua ke he haau a loto Toa, to nakai nimo mo e nakai galo. "At the going down of the Sun and in the morning, WE WILL REMEMBER THEM"

Great Grandad, Laid a poppy for you. Thank you for being brave enough to face this challenge so we your descendants can live freely today. We are so proud of you and your 3 brothers, and we are forever grateful for your contribution to this war. Coming from peaceful and warm Niue to a great big change can't have been easy, but you survived and went back home to Hikutavake. Wherever you are Papa Sipae, we honour your memory and we say thank you. Love you. From all your great grandchildren all over the world.

To our dearest Great Grandfather Hipa, We have a lot to thank you for, and are extremely proud of how you served left our tiny nation of Niue to fulfill the duties of making this world a better place for future generations. Not a day goes by without us thinking about you. We will always be eternally grateful to you and your 3 brothers Hemu, Pulu and Peni for your sacrifice. We will always remember and love you.
