Roll of honour, listing World War 1 soldiers from the Cook Islands. Ref: 1/1-006732-G. Alexander Turnbull Library, Wellington, New Zealand. This is one of two honours boards. The second relates to the Fourth and Fifth contingents. Both are now housed in the Pioneer Lounge of the Cook Islands RSA. The Two boards originally stood in the old courthouse, but were moved just before a fire destroyed the building. (Information from Henry Wichman of Rarotonga, 2010). /records/22480864

    As a direct descendant of your daughter Tukura Viikirangi Karika Kamana e taimaine inangaro ia au na raua ko Shana Kamana raised daughter/grandaughter olderst daughter of Nooroa.
    We celebrated your daughter Tukura Viikirangi Kamana born 28th May 1921 died 12 February 2015 in Rarotonga. Her descendants your legacy lives on forever. I am forever grateful for mum Tukura your daughter her unconditonal love her wisdom she gave to me and my tamariki one of my sons is named in honour of you. I think about mum/nana everyday forever in my heart and my tamariki te atua te aroa.

But when I was young, I cleaned and painted your grave stone every year during the tutaka at the Cook Island Christian Church at Avarua, Rarotonga. I am named after you.
