Roll of honour, listing World War 1 soldiers from the Cook Islands. Ref: 1/1-006732-G. Alexander Turnbull Library, Wellington, New Zealand. This is one of two honours boards. The second relates to the Fourth and Fifth contingents. Both are now housed in the Pioneer Lounge of the Cook Islands RSA. The Two boards originally stood in the old courthouse, but were moved just before a fire destroyed the building. (Information from Henry Wichman of Rarotonga, 2010). /records/22480864

    Admitted to Casualty Clearing Station, Deir el Belah, 11 May 1917 (abrasions, skin); transferred to 24th Stationary Hospital, Kantara, 12 May 1917; to 27th General Hospital, Abbassia, 14 May 1917; discharged to duty, 30 May 1917.
    Transferred to Rarotongan Company, 1 June 1917.

    Found guilty of drunknenness, Ismailia, 5 December 1918: fined 10/-.

    Commenced return to New Zealand from Suez on board HT 'Malta', 14 December 1918; discharged, 30 March 1919.
    Total war service: 2 years 255 days (of which 2 years 74 days were abroad).

    Date of birth noted as 1893 in Cook Islands research.
