  • Morley was posted to Royal Air Force Heavy Conversion Unit 1668 at Bottesford for Lancaster MKIII Conversion in March 1945. He was finally posted to No. 576 Lancaster Squadron at Fiskerton in April 1945. They flew decoy missions dropping window (silver strips) to confuse the enemy radar and were used in the food drops over the Netherlands in May 1945 in Operation Mana. Morley and his crew had a trip to Flensburg to help locate the remnants of the German Navy and then several trips bringing POW's home from Belgium and Italy.

After the war Morley was posted to RAF Watchfield for radio range instructor training in November 1945. At the end of March 1946 he was posted back to RNZAF.

He was demobbed, but rejoined the Royal New Zealand Air Force until April 1956 and was then on Active Reserve until 1976.
