  • Son of William Robert Clarkson and Louisa Annie Moncrieff.

    Clarkson had two children, Brian and Helen.

    He held many jobs when he first left school. He joined the Public Works Department in 1936 as a timekeeper and went back to this after the war. He worked mainly in the central North Island with the PWD. He became Employment Officer in 1946 and moved with the job to power stations as they were built, ending up in Turangi in 1965 where he was employed as Project Industrial Officer.

    He was awarded the QSM in 1976. AWMM
