Image kindly provided by Laurette Powell (September 2017). Image may be subject to copyright restriction. It appears that the brothers first served in the RNZAF then transferred to the New Zealand Army and became commissioned officers. The ribbons and insignia on their uniforms show that both were Captains and that the photograph was probably taken after the Second World War.

    Mentioned in Despatches, published in London Gazette 25 May 1946.

    The Marsack family involvement in war spans six generations, dating from the Peninsular Wars of the early nineteenth century to post world war two disturbances in the Middle East. AWMM
