  • Casey joined the Imperial Military Railways in Pretoria. He departed South Africa aboard the S.S. 'Victoria' from Cape town in February 1901. (Stowers, p.159)

    In New Zealand Casey rejoined the Auckland Mounted Rifles.

    He died of pneumonia during the influenza epidemic of 1918.
