Hospital Diseases , Wounds, WWI AWMM
Private advice has been received by Mr. S. Bond, Lower Symonds Street, that his youngest son, Captain Victor R. Bond, was wounded on October 19. Captain Bond was also wounded in the Somme battle, and returned to New Zealand in January last. Two months later he went back to England as adjutant on a troopship. His last wound was received while serving with the Wellington Infantry. (Auckland Weekly News, 1 November 1917, p. 22) AWMM
